After the snow

It was a snow weekend in Vancouver, and was sunny after the snow, I got out of home to take photos..

I went to a park..what's that?

Hahahaha..somebody made a geek one.

Kids started destroy it.

Medina @ near chinatown

In these days I was crazily busy then I wanted to have a time for "refresh"-

So last Sunday, I went a cafe "Medina" for brunch.

I heard their belgium waffles are good but I was too hungry then I ordered an omelette. 

Goat cheese and herbs, smelled excellent. 

My friend had a meat ball dish. It looked yummy.

We walked around Chinatown and Gastown a bit then I found my favourite coat.

I have been looking for a perfect coat for a long time then I decided to have it next month(I can't have it now, sadly..)!

Well, my mini hat show will open tomorrow, I have to prepare for it now.

After the storm

Yesterday's weather was like a storm came to our town..

After the storm, I saw a rainbow and sun came up in the late afternoon.

I walked down to a park then I saw many colours of leaves flying with cold wind. 

The lighting was amazingly gold, the scene was like a dream. 

Btw..I'll have a mini-hat show at a French style cafe called "coco et olive" on Main street.

Risa Salsberg's art works

Risa Salsberg, is  Vancouver based mixed media artist.

I saw her works and greeting cards at Robson square market.

I bought one of her cards, her illustrations are minimum and unique, 

the simple lines remind me Japanese style illustrations.

According to her website, she has studied with the Buddhist nuns in a Zen temple in Tokyo.

My favourite rain coat

I tried to tweet this funny story but it was too short to tell. I'll write it here.

I bought this coat while ago and it is one of my favourite court, but I didn't have many chance to wear.

Today was rain and I wore the coat with perfect coordination, and went out.

As soon as walked on a small street from my place, a car came toward to me. 

And then, a big splash came on me from a paddle, it was made by the car.

At least it made only my pants wet..the raincoat protected me.

Still my clothing was too wet to go somewhere.

I was gave up to go out  and came back to my room.

I should go out later, after having a lunch.

Local market

I was in a local fashion market called Portobellowest yesterday.
It was fun to see colourful local artisans,  also fun to talk with people.

Gold tree

These days, Vancouver is not too cold, I rolled up my blanket. 

Coffee and walking.. 

The trees were reflecting the sun, they looked like gold colour.

We don't forget to say hi to neighbour cats.

2010-2011

In the end of the 2010, we had a lot of beer, after hours,

spend time at six acres untill 11:30.

We walked to home to wait midnight.

In the middle of a bridge, the year 2011 started.

We could hear people screaming and sounds of fire works.

Listening & Studying

"Dandelion record and Emporium" is a cool store, they are selling records and gifts, is located on main street.

I often visit there, not only just by myself, it is good to visit with my boyfriend, while he is stacking to dig the records, I'm looking for "zakka(things)"s and books.

They have selected local designer's items also!

Season of harvesting

I went for a walk, Vancouver is slowly covered by the air of autumn - I was passing by community garden, there are beautiful veggies and flowers, berries.

It was amazing to see they are all somebody's work!

It makes me to want to rent a garden next year.

Evening bike cruising

We went to evening bike cruising.

My boyfriend likes riding a bike at night.

He said biking at night is special.

After hours, we drink "kriek",Danish cherry beer.

It wasn't too sweet,more than sour I thought and taste natural, I'm not a big fun of sweet drinks so liked it.

Mr.David's magic cards

This chcken stock soup was my hangover cure@Stock Market (granville island).

The other day, I went to help my friend's booth at Granville island, Public market.

Public market is Vancouver's famous sightseeing place.

There's artist's booths, fun to look at.

I always adore his magical cards,

David is one of an artist of the market.

His cards are original design, I wonder how can he create the beautiful patterns.

I heard he was inspired by a Japanese book and started to make own.

My brother had same book when he studied architecture in university.

Then I was in a middle school and interested in his book.

I remember one day I took over the book and tried to make a card, it was really complicated and I couldn't finished it.

Anyways, it is interesting and inspired to talk with artists at the market.
