It is all about interesting hotels, architecture to philosophy, subculture..

I didn't know the imperial hotel in Tokyo was such a great design before the earthquake in 1923, also was inspired by Scandinavian architect Jacobsen's artisan spirit.He designed everything- keyhole to how does the building look with the sky.
Anyways the show was really stylish, highly recommend.

Preparing for summer

My vice is buying shoes.
Once I saw this pair at a thrift store, I couldn't help to try them, and they perfectly fit..why don't I buy them!
Pineapple and watermelon, super eccentric motif on the shoes.
Yes, I decided to buy them instantly when they fit on my feet.

Soba making

I bought a bag of buckwheat..

..and tried to make soba.

It was my first time to try and I didn't know what is the key point to make it as good.

The point was Uchiko(flour).When you roll out the dough, you must need a lot of flour on it.

It will help not to stick the flatten dough when you cut it.

This photo looks succeed but the thickness of soba wasn't good enough to me - 

next time will be better.

Rainy day, baking day

I felt a bit sick for these few days,
also today's rain.. I wanted to stay home and decided to make it today as a baking day.
So I tried a recipe from a magazine I bought recently, substitute few ingredients as my version.
Frosty berry bread with vanilla sauce.Inside of bread is whole black berries.I wrapped berries with the dough and baked them.
They are soo good.
